BRING THE PARTY TO YOUR BACKYARD
Give every outdoor gathering its own atmosphere—with permanent lighting you can enjoy all summer long.
Extend your lighting design to the rear of your home and covered outdoor spaces. Set red, white and blue for a Fourth of July pool party, choose a birthday theme, bring out your team colors, or settle into warm white for a relaxed dinner outside.
With separate zones, the backyard can celebrate while the front of your home keeps its everyday look. We’ll plan the coverage around your rear roofline, patio and the spaces where you spend time.

Summer holidays, birthdays, barbecues and game nights—change the mood with your colors.
Enjoy soft, welcoming light for dinner on the patio or a quiet evening with friends.

BEFORE YOU BUY A BOX OF LIGHTS
Comparing Govee and big-box permanent outdoor lighting? Look beyond the colors. Consider the roofline fit, the daytime finish and the plan for service.
Consumer-grade DIY kits are packaged systems with model-specific limits. Check permitted cuts, extensions and total run length before planning around peaks, dormers, gaps and separate roof levels.
Our approach: We plan coverage, transitions, power and zones around your home’s architecture.
Retail puck-light kits are commonly mounted without tracks, leaving the connecting wires visible. Adhesive foam pads alone can loosen as surfaces expand and contract through hot summers and cold winters, particularly when surface preparation or added support is inadequate. Loose lights and sagging wires can become an ongoing maintenance issue.
Our approach: Discreet, low-profile aluminum tracks conceal wiring and give your roofline a clean, intentional finish.
A failed light should not become a surprise replacement project. If individual pucks cannot be serviced, a fault may require replacing a full strand. If compatible parts are unavailable, replacement can extend to the whole kit. Ask what can actually be repaired, what replacement parts are available, and who handles the work after the warranty ends.
Our approach: A local installation team to contact for support, with a 3-year warranty and coverage details in your proposal.

LOOK PAST THE FIRST NIGHT
Exposed, unsupported wires can sag or strain their connections if lights come loose. Temperature changes, moisture and poor attachment can turn a tidy first-day installation into repeated upkeep.
Our low-profile aluminum tracks hold the lighting in a clean, consistent layout and conceal the wiring beneath the soffits. We plan mounting, connections and service access together—with a local team to call when help is needed.
Mounting matters: Govee supplies adhesive and clips on specified models and instructs installers to use both. Adhesive pads alone leave the installation without that required support.
THE CONNECTIONS MATTER
Retail kits come in preset lengths, and some are not designed to be cut. Cutting a non-cuttable set to fit a roofline can damage the system and may jeopardize warranty coverage for the modification or resulting damage. Check the exact model and warranty before anyone cuts it. Govee’s standard RGBIC and Outdoor Lights 2/Elite models are not cuttable; Pro and Prism models allow cutting and splicing under their instructions.
A working splice is not necessarily a weather-sealed splice. Simply twisting bare wires together leaves the connection unprotected. Even beneath a soffit, humidity, condensation and wind-driven moisture can reach an inadequately sealed splice or cut end. Corrosion can develop over time, causing intermittent operation or premature failure without an obvious soaking.
Transitions, splices and end terminations need the lighting manufacturer’s approved connection method, compatible outdoor-rated connectors and the specified seals, caps or weatherproofing wrap. Ordinary tape alone is not a substitute for a properly rated, sealed connection. Ask your installer how every modified connection is protected and whether the modification is permitted.

Poor electrical connections can overheat, and exposed conductors or damaged insulation can allow short circuits. Depending on the equipment and fault protection, these faults can create a fire risk. Low-voltage lighting still needs correctly rated components and sound connections; a bare twist is not an acceptable finished outdoor splice.
Verify insurance before work starts. Ask for the installer’s legal business name and proof of current liability insurance, and confirm with the insurer or agent that the planned work is within the policy’s scope. If a contractor has no insurance—or will not provide proof—treat that as a serious red flag. Do not assume a product warranty covers installation damage, or that a retail-kit installer is insured simply because they advertise as a professional.

Design My Combined Display
THE PERMANENT FOUNDATION
Permanent lights mount in discreet aluminum tracks beneath the eaves or soffits—not across the roof surface. The overhang helps shelter them from direct rain, snow and sun, while the track conceals wiring for a clean finish.
They remain outdoor fixtures exposed to weather; the sheltered location is an advantage, not complete protection from the elements.
THE SEASONAL DIMENSION
During the holidays, we can add seasonal lights along roof ridges and other suitable roof features. These extra lines trace the upper shape of your home, adding depth and that distinctive, fully outlined holiday look.
Window outlines, garland and illuminated trees complete the scene. Seasonal additions are installed and removed as part of your holiday service.
Designed to look beautiful together. Seasonal items are quoted separately and may use separate power or controls.
